How Effective Is Wellis Air Disinfection System Against COVID-19?

The coronavirus outbreak changed the reality of the world. Working from home, online meetings, social distancing, and wearing masks became the new normal. Something else became a part of this new reality, and we’ll talk about it in this blog.

An air purifier became popular and could be seen in almost every American home. Many businesses designed air purification systems to protect people from harmful microbes in the atmosphere. A new disinfection system called Wellis Air was also launched and caught everyone’s attention. Its captivating tagline, “disinfects and purifies the air and surfaces of hazardous elements” and “removes 99.9% of all hazardous elements,” seemed promising to homeowners.

Wellis Air garnered attention, mainly because it offered protection from the dreaded Coronavirus. But are these claims valid? Let’s find out.

What Is Wellis Air Anyway?

A Korean company named Wellis created the Wellis Air Disinfecting System. Wellis Air fights surface and airborne bacteria, viruses, allergens, molds, volatile organic compounds (or ‘VOCs’), and odors. It keeps homes free from these harmful substances and offers a disease-free atmosphere. Depending on the humidity and other conditions, it can eliminate anywhere between 92% and 99% of the contaminants.

The system operates automatically, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. It also gives various signals to notify people of the air quality—red indicates poor air quality, orange normal, and blue optimal.

It offers an optimum user experience and is equipped with features like Night Mode. The Night Mode lowers the brightness and reduces the system’s noise, allowing for a sound sleep.

How Does It Work?

The Wellis Air Disinfection System provides a constant stream of hydroxyl radicals (OH) that destroy all contaminants from the atmosphere. These hydroxyls are ‘eco-oxidant’ as they decompose into water and oxygen after their biochemical reactions have finished, and they do not leave behind any residual oxidants.

The system works on the same technology as our Earth itself. Earth auto-generates hydroxyl radicals when UV rays and moisture come together in order to clean itself. Wellis Air adopts this technology and produces bacteria-fighting hydroxyls with the help of UV rays and moisture present in a room.

Unlike most air purification systems, the Wellis Air Disinfection System is not limited by the ability to bring the harmful pathogens to the machine. It is sending out an army of virus killing assassins to destroy them where they hide. The system constantly generates and expands OH, which keeps air pure and safe.

How Effective Is It In Fighting the Coronavirus?

Many studies have been conducted to monitor the efficacy of the Wellis Air Disinfecting System.

In April of 2021, a private lab (MRI Global, of Kansas City, MO) conducted tests to rate the efficacy of the WellisAir Pro against Covid-19. The results were stunning! In two hours, the amount of SARS-CoV-2 was reduced by 91.75% on surfaces in their controlled environment.

The WellisAir Pro is an invaluable asset in our fight against Covid-19 and anything other harmful pathogens that could haunt us in our indoor environments.

In conclusion, the Wellis Air Disinfecting System is the easiest way to ensure the air you breathe and the surfaces you touch are safe and healthy. It gives you and your family a clean, safe environment.
